I've been talking for some time about some new and exciting things that I have been working on over the last few months, and am proud to finally be able to announce my project to everyone. Â The official press release doesn't hit the newswire until tonight, but I figure that since I'm in charge, I can generate a little noise before it goes official. Â Â

It is no secret that I have been very active with PowerShell and PowerGUI.  I've been investigating the impact of PowerShell based management for some time and have found that it is quite popular.  Not only does PowerShell give you unparalleled flexibility in virtualization management, it also ties directly into key workloads that are being virtualized such as Windows, Exchange, Active Directory, etc.  I can now officially announce that I am branching the PowerGUI code base (Hey, why start from scratch when I've got something phenomenal already) and will be giving the dedicated attention to virtualization management using PowerShell and the VMware Toolkit for Windows (VITK).  To read more about my open community initiative to drive this technology and learn more about the project, make sure you visit my new website http://www.thevesi.org.  The best part of all, it's complete free of charge.  No limits on environment size, no ripping away almost all of the real functionality after 30 days, it's simply...Free. For those of you fortunate enough to make it out to VMworld Europe, make sure you stop by the Vizioncore booth (Number 106) to see The VESIâ„¢ and all the other exciting things we are doing!  Â
