Ship It! PDF Print

As reported last week in my update, we were anticipating sending the final version of the book to the printer this week. Well, as of Wednesday, June 11th, we have officially gone to the printer! What this means is that the printer will schedule the printing and binding of the book and have it sent straight to the distributor upon completion. The distributor is then responsible for sending it to retailers such as Amazon , Borders, Chapters, or any other outlet that will be providing it directly to the customer.

Overall this process is expected to take about 4 weeks before retail has it "available" to ship to customers or place on their shelves. Since we have not been able to provide a valid date to the distributor (until now), we still don't have a proper page on Amazon. While Amazon does have the book listed, it is not yet possible to order it from them. This should change next week, and as soon as it does I'll be advertising it in as many places as I can on this site.

I have also had several requests for people wanting to order the book in bulk (25+ copies) and I should have details for the proper process to follow shortly.

Ron, Mike, and I want to thank everyone for their patience throughout this entire process and hope that you will soon be able to enjoy the book!

No.3 A VERY select few have seen it
For VMworld Europe Ron, Mike, and I printed up a handful of copies each to distribute as booth giveaways and presents to close personal friends. The copies that went out were unedited and probably full of as many grammatical errors as the first book. It was pretty much raw and uncut. The final version is much more refined...I hope ;-)
