I've managed to get around to doing a few functional site updates. I've finally enabled user registration and comments on articles. This thing is finally starting to come together as the major improvement to the previous version of the site that I was expecting.
As you can tell from the front page, I've also received the first printed copies of the new book. So far, I'm impressed at how much content we crammed in and how well it flows. I've also started receiving massive amounts of server equipment for my lab. Unfortunately, one of the last pieces I expect to arrive is the actual server rack itself, so I don't even want to try and get things running just yet.
By next weekend I should be like a kid in a candy shop with an awesome new 8 server lab to play with. |
