France Here I Come. Norway, Wait Your Turn PDF Print

It was tough this time around balancing all the things I had to get completed prior to the trip, but I am ready to head over to France today for VMworld Europe.  Our lab environment is ready on its way, which will showcase the new vCharter Pro.  This is not your grandmother's vCharter Pro, this is a "Blow the thing up with thousands of pounds of explosives and start over" vCharter Pro.  I've been waiting for a long time to show this product off.

I wanted to give those of you have previously asked about, or had your Barnes and Noble orders cancelled an update on the release of the new book. I just received word today that the publisher is anticipating that the final PDF will be sent off to the printer within a 2 week period. This date is flexible, but I do have it on good authority that it will be accurate within a day or two. I still do not know exactly when the book will be available on Amazon.com, but as soon as I see it, rest assured I will tell the world about it here.

It is old news now that I have recently undertaken yet another job change.Contrary to the press release, my personal change actually took effect on January 1st of this year. Fortunately, my last few career changes have all been down the same career path within the same organization. (I'd personally question my rapid changing career if it weren't).

Dinner with Ron PDF Print

It looks like there is all sorts of excitement going on in regards to new product releases in the virtualization space. Both Virtual Iron and VMware announcing new versions that introduce quite a bit of new functionality into their respective offerings. Fortunately, Mike Laverick had taken the time to provide a nice "New Features" document that highlights all of the new VMware functionality and how to actually configure it. I will be following up at some point in regards to why you should or shouldn't rely on these new components as the greatest features to ever be introduced into virtualization (as much as the platform vendors would like you to think so).
